Melbourne pianist Stefan Cassomenos returns with another of the dazzling Lizst  arrangements of Beethoven’s symphonies – this time the  6th- “Pastoral”. (before interval!) The second half of the program comprises Liszt arrangements of  Wagner’s Tannhauser Overture and the Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde, finishing with Alkan’s  Symphony for  Solo Piano

“Night Club, New York” Opera Australia mezzo Jill Sullivan returns with some of the greatest  works from the American Songbook-  songs by Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter and Kurt Weill.  “Summertime”, “Night and Day”,  “Lullaby of Broadway”, “All the Things you  are”,  “The Man I Love”…  you will love them all!



Next Festival:


2020 is the 250th Anniversary of the birth of Beethoven and our Festival will celebrate the work  of the genius who took “Classical” music to its peak and foresaw Romanticism.  The program will feature many of the string quartets, arguably the greatest  collective opus of classical music.
